There are so many techniques of meditation. Meditation through Aum chanting works at various levels and finally it achieves what it sets out to. I mean complete relaxation of body, mind and atma.

Meditation Through Aum

Start chanting Aum very slowly and in a rhythmic manner. Keep following the rise and movement and the fall of this mantra. It will be a cycle of the rise, circle and then fall. It originates from the Throat Chakra [imaginary cycles of energy] or Vishuddhi Chakra. This charka is controlled by Trinity – Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. When this mantra is recited, droplet of Amrit [nectre] gets ejected on to the tongue from the Throat Chakra.

The Aum makes the whole body fall into harmony and resonates it, thereby activating the protective hormones that are secreted into the mainstream.

The heartbeat is controlled and slowed down to reduce the blood pressure thereby preventing and curing many diseases/ailments.

At the mental level, the troublesome negative thoughts at conscious level as well as at subconscious level get dissolved by mantra chanting. And there is peace and tranquility. Mind is in a state of peace and happiness i.e, in a state of rest. This whole phenomenon occurs at Ajna Chakra or The Third Eye [the chakra between the eyebrows].

At the Soul/Atma [the Jeevatma]/spiritual level, the self is dissolved for a split second. A feeling of bliss is felt. This activates the Sahastra Chakra or Crown Chakra.

The whole process of Aum chanting is an experience in itself taking anybody to the highest realm.

Practice this regularly at least for twenty minutes to achieve the best results.
