The festival of Navratri is celebrated with unmatched grandeur throughout the country. The 9 day long Festival is devoted to Maa Durga and her 9 forms. People keep fast, sing and Dance and organise Kirtans and Mata ki chowki to impress the Maha Shakti. Sharad Navratri is the biggest Navratri out of the other 4 and is celebrated widely with great devotion. The 9 days devoted to Goddess Durga are a full treat for her devotees. Maa Durga is the symbol of power, strong determination and victory of good over evil. She blesses her devotees with eternal prosperity, happiness and luck. Her 9 forms are of great reverence and are worshipped with full devotion. Navaratri can be broken into two words derived from Sanskrit Language, ‘’Nav’’ means Nine and ‘’Ratri’’ means Night. All 9 days are devoted to 9 forms or incarnation of Goddess Durga namely Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta,kushmanda,Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri.
Sharad Navratri 2017 is much awaited like every year as it is celebrated on large scale and is very fruitful. Sharad Navratri 2017 will be celebrated from 20th September to 29th September.
